Mitra hobnobs with corporate and political biggies during the Goa IT Day

Mitra recently made its presence felt among 100+ key names from the corporate and political world during the Goa IT day event held at Panaji on July 14th and 15th.

For long, Goa has been known as India’s global party destination. However, the star of India’s tourist map is now ready to embrace a totally new identity now – that’s to become the start-up destination of the country.

As the first step towards attracting IT companies and budding start-ups, the state government has launched the Goa IT Day. The initiative’s primary mission of making the state one among the top 25 start-up destinations in India by 2025.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar and Minister of IT, Labour and Employment Rohan Khaunthe.

Post-inauguration all eyes turned on Mitra. Mr Parrikar himself had a small chat with the humanoid before getting started with his scheduled meets for also the day. Later the crowd joined in and the idea of AI and robotics was being presented in its most interactive & attractive form at the event.

Day 1 of the event witnessed progressive discussions on e-governance and digital innovation. Tech behemoths Facebook and Google also took the opportunity to spread some knowledge about the basic idea of digital marketing.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad tweets praise

The biggest highlight of the 2nd day was the presence of Union Minister, Electronics and Information Technology and Law and Justice, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad. 

Mitra grabbed the attention of the Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad as well and soon the official twitter handle posted about the meeting. 

They wrote: “Nice to meet Mitra- the robot in Goa IT day that has been developed by an Indian startup.”

To conclude, Mitra had the opportunity to play host to some of India top personalities and it was an amazing experience altogether.
